JOB SUMMARY: The Building Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the commercial building and property maintenance, as well as supporting the Facilities Manager in leading the Facilities Department and supporting the property overall.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with the Facilities Manager in creating a working environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and Team Member satisfaction.
Coordinates all job assignments, sets work priorities, makes cost- effective assignment decisions, and ensures the completion of projects in a timely, efficient, and effective manner
Ensures efficient follow-up on all work orders submitted by property management and keeps the Director of Facilities informed of anticipated delays in completing the requested work.
Assist in the preparation of the annual preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all property systems and equipment are serviced and maintained properly.
Establishes positive working relationships with all vendors, fire, and safety officials.
Performs maintenance tasks to support the entire facility.
Stock, track, and maintain supplies and equipment.
Plan, prioritize and assign and work by shift accounting for property volumes due to special events, promotions, and holidays.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment.
Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Assists the Director of Facilities in project planning, development, and execution staying within prescribed guidelines and budgetary constraints.
Maintain all appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines.
Responsible for updating and maintaining all departmental operations manuals.

Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Knowledge of the following is preferred, but not required: HVAC (Boiler and Chiller Operation), Refrigeration (Walk-in Cooler and Freezer Maintenance), Kitchen Appliance Repair, Plumbing Repair, Building Sprinkler System and Electrical
Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
Must be able to work on call shifts.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license.

Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted, and it can be loud with guest chatter, overhead music, and live entertainment.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and respond to visual and aural cues.
Must possess the manual dexterity to operate a variety of cleaning equipment and tools requiring the ability to grab, grip, hold, pour, tear, cut, sort and reach.
Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye hand coordination.
