Instructional Resource Coordinator

St. Charles Preparatory School, located at 2010 E. Broad Street in Columbus, is seeking a proactive and principled individual to start the 2025-26 school year as an Instructional Resource Coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for providing access to and managing educational materials and instructional resources for teacher and students. The coordinator will support and train educators to utilize these resources effectively to maximize student learning outcomes.
Primary Role and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Manage and supervise the Brotherhood Center, a new space designed for collaborative learning experiences
Teach students how to access and evaluate information effectively across various formats (print, digital)
Teach students research skills, information literacy, digital citizenship, and effective use of resources through lessons, workshops, and one-on-one assistance
Plan and execute library events like author visits, book clubs, reading promotional activities, and technology demonstrations
Manage the resource center budget for acquisitions, materials, equipment, and other expenses
Develop and execute curriculum/lessons that are challenging and engaging
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Use technology to support curriculum and administrative responsibilities
Continue to develop knowledge and skills through personal and professional growth
Qualifications:
Related degrees for this position include, but aren't limited to, media literacy, library science, IT, and education. Master's degree preferred
Teaching License Preferred
The ability to develop and implement an effective and engaging curriculum; a highly competent teacher
Competence using technology and knowledge of computers
Passion for working with adolescents
Strong problem-solving ability specific to knowledge and upkeep of computer hardware
Ohio Education Teaching License
Previous experience working in the educational setting is desired
Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks
Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training
