Location: Columbus, Ohio (Hybrid – 2 full days onsite at various practice locations, remote remainder of the week)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a People Operations Business Partner (POBP) to join our growing team and support our dynamic network of practices across multiple states. As a forward-thinking team, we value the importance of strong HR foundations while recognizing that strategic partnership and modern approaches are key to driving both business success and a thriving organizational culture.

This role is based in Columbus, Ohio, requiring two to three full days onsite each week supporting various local practice locations, with remote work the remainder of the time. Candidates should be based in or willing to immediately relocate to the Columbus area.

As a key strategic partner, the POBP will work closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and local brand leaders to drive initiatives that foster engagement, elevate team member experience, ensure compliance, and support all aspects of excellence. This role plays a critical part in scaling Aesthetic Partners’ people strategy while nurturing a high-performance, empathetic culture across a growing multi-location organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership

Serve as a trusted People advisor to leadership across practices and brands.

Drive people-first solutions that support strategic growth, practice integration, and operational success.

Talent Management & Organizational Development

Support performance management processes, employee development plans, and succession initiatives.

Foster an environment of accountability, growth, and high engagement across all levels.

Employee Relations

Provide guidance on employee relations matters with an empathetic, solutions-driven approach.

Assist in conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and culture-building initiatives.

Compliance & Policy Management

Ensure compliance with federal, state (particularly Ohio and California), and local employment laws.

Collaborative and maintain policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to align with evolving best practices.

Change Management & Integration

Lead positive change management initiatives during acquisitions, expansions, and growth initiatives.

Support seamless cultural and operational integration of new practices into the Aesthetic Partners network.

Training & Development

Coordinate mandatory and developmental training programs across the network.

Promote a culture of continuous learning, compliance, and professional development.

Data-Driven HR Insights

Track and analyze key people metrics (retention, engagement, performance) and provide insights to leadership.

Use data to proactively identify trends and guide strategic decisions.

Leave & Benefits Administration

Administer leave programs (FMLA, ADA, state-specific leaves) with consistency and care.

Support employee benefit initiatives and education.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or relevant and progressive experience of 5+ years) - minimum requirements.

PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent HR certification preferred.

Experience supporting multi-location, healthcare, or service-driven environments highly preferred.

Expertise in FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, and multi-state employment laws (California knowledge a strong plus).

Previous experience supporting M&A activity, including HR due diligence and change management.

HRIS experience preferred (Paycor highly desired; Workday and similar platforms a plus).

Strong emotional intelligence, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

Work Environment

2-3 full days onsite weekly at Columbus-area practice locations (required), with remote flexibility for the remainder of the workweek.

Travel: Occasional travel (up 30%) to practice locations and headquarters for meetings, trainings, and events.
