Paramedic

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: PARAMEDIC

The purpose of this classification is to perform difficult protective service work, provide emergency medical care, and respond to hazardous materials incidents. (see attached Job Description) Paramedic - 2020

QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities qualifies. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

EDUCATION/TRAINING: High school diploma or GED, supplemented by college level coursework or vocational training in emergency medical services.

EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of previous experience and/or training that includes EMT and Paramedic work or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license. Must possess and maintain a valid certification as a Paramedic and certification in ACLS and CPR.
