Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview

AAS Transport is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of semi trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate will ensure our fleet operates at peak performance, supporting our media operations by keeping our transport vehicles reliable and road-ready.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on semi trucks and trailers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.

Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Troubleshoot and repair trailer systems, including suspension, axles, and refrigeration units if applicable.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service schedules.

Collaborate with the fleet manager to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.

Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, specifically with semi trucks and trailers.

Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical diagnostics, and hydraulic repairs.

Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
