HVAC Engineer

Job Description

Direct hire opening with our client for a Senior HVAC Engineer. In this role you will lead the design, development, and optimization of innovative space and water heating products, including heat pump systems and boilers. This role focuses on enhancing efficiency, performance, and reliability while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering analysis, product design, and development for space and water heating systems.

Develop and execute test plans for product application, field testing, certification, and reliability.

Optimize heat pump and boiler systems for efficiency and performance.

Perform heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics calculations.

Ensure compliance with performance and regulatory standards in partnership with certification teams.

Create and document technical data for projects and support product application solutions for Commercial and Residential products.

Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance throughout product development.

Contribute to technical literature and support new product development initiatives.

Foster a collaborative engineering environment and support business growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC product development, including heat pumps and boilers.

Familiarity with ASHRAE, NEEA, ANSI, CSA, DOE, AHRI, and Energy Star standards.

Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D design software; HVAC design software experience is a plus.

Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Experience with FEA, CFD, FMEA, and DOE tools is desirable.
