Position Overview
We’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our West Coast Permitting team. In this role, you’ll support Project Managers in delivering seamless permitting solutions across a variety of commercial construction projects. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects on track, communicating with municipal agencies, and maintaining momentum from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
Assist in the preparation and submission of permit packages
Perform due diligence, create permit checklists, and update project tracking tools
Act as a liaison with city departments and monitor project statuses
Maintain documentation including meeting minutes and permit logs
Support project progress through scheduling, quality control, and follow-ups
Serve as backup to Project Managers when needed
What You’ll Bring
Required:
Minimum 1 year of experience in construction administration or project coordination
Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Familiarity with permit submittals, building/zoning codes, and reading construction drawings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred:
Experience working with municipal agencies and permitting portals
Knowledge of NorCal jurisdictional processes
Work Environment & Schedule
This position is based in San Ramon, CA, and is onsite.
Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime.
Minimal travel required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $55,000 – $60,000 annually, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
