Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities & Duties

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and obtain detailed medical histories

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses

Develop individualized treatment plans for patients

Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary

Order and interpret diagnostic tests

Provide health education to patients and their families

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
