Our client is looking to hire a Purchasing Supervisor in the city of Anaheim, CA. This is a direct hire opportunity for our client to join our Team!

Position Summary Purchasing Supervisor

Salary: $75,000-$90,000K

Our team is currently seeking individuals who are experienced as a Purchasing Supervisor. The purchasing supervisor is responsible for material, hardware, and supply purchases, ensuring that the right items are purchased from the right suppliers, at the right time, at the right price. Strong knowledge of Aluminum, Stainless & carbon/alloy steel, sheet, bars, extrusions, and billet products is necessary. The responsibilities also include developing commodity strategies resulting in benefits to the company, as well as to the supplier. The purchasing supervisor is responsible for organizing purchasing functions, managing daily activities in purchasing to include day-to-day and capital projects purchases, managing contracts including administering, negotiating, reviewing, renewing, and filing, and evaluating for availability, price, term, and quality of products. Coordinating bid process and ensuring compliance with procurement conflict of interest policies and regulations. The purchasing supervisor is responsible for executing and leading the day-to-day procurement activities at the site location. The purchasing supervisor's responsibilities include selecting suppliers, negotiating supplier prices and schedule, and measuring supplier OTD performance.

Duties/Responsibilities

Responsible for in-contract modifications, transfers, or new products; ensuring products are sourced at competitive prices in line with an aerospace commodity strategy.

Management of supplier delivery for parts sourced as modifications, transfers, or new products until Operations POU (Point of Use)

Responsible for staying current with latest trends in machine cutting tools, fasteners, aerospace chemistry industries.

Responsible for reporting procurement activity

Responsible for all PO demands placed upon suppliers to ensure that Key Objectives of cost, quality and delivery are secured.

Responsible for site procurement change control, export control and ITAR.

Responsible for the delivery / maintenance / Integrity of site BOM

Responsible for ensuring item / contract data is updated and maintained.

Responsible for the flow down of enabled customer materials, pricing, and skyline forecasts to Suppliers

Responsible for developing and supporting site cost reduction opportunities and supplier development plans in line with business requirements.

Responsible for Managing Raw Material Inventory levels for Purchase Order parts in line with program targets and start dates.

Responsible for the resolution of Invoice queries related to pricing.

Responsible for resolution of any issues pertaining to certification of conformances, shipping manifests or other pertinent documents associated with orders.

Be an escalation point for any cost / contractual issues with Suppliers.

Accountable for helping to provide customer service with PO status.

Perform follow up on all Quotes.

Compiling and maintaining purchase records, supplier databases and procurement contracts

Evaluate vendors to ensure their performance hit established KPIs.

Responsible for approved supplier list (ASL)

Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.

Aids in the improvement of systems and work processes

Qualifications

3 years of experience in Procurement/Commercial or Supply Chain Management roles

Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.

An ability to build relations with a supplier network and have insight into suppliers' processes.

A history of Leadership to collaborate with cross functional teams.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Effective communicator (written and verbal) with all levels of employees.

Experienced in customer inquiries and interact with Sales and Engineering teams.

Knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001 and AS9100

Experience in a fast-passed manufacturing environment

Experience job shop environment manufacturing.

Current and experienced level: MRP, Excel, MS Office.

Six Sigma / Lean Certifications a plus

This job is on the floor of a manufacturing facility.
