Job Title: Business Development Manager – Medical & Hazardous Waste

Location: Flexible (preferably within Texas or surrounding region)

Travel: Frequent regional travel to meet with prospective clients

Reports To: Director of Sales or Executive Leadership

Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead client acquisition efforts for our medical and hazardous waste services. This role will focus on building a strong client base among healthcare providers and law enforcement agencies that require compliant disposal of regulated waste, including pharmaceuticals, sharps, and hazardous materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements (including RCRA) and experience selling to regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with medical facilities (hospitals, clinics, labs) and law enforcement agencies (police departments, crime labs, etc.) that generate hazardous or regulated waste.

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to grow our hazardous waste service offerings.

Build relationships with decision-makers, including compliance officers, procurement managers, and public-sector stakeholders.

Present customized waste management solutions, emphasizing regulatory compliance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service implementation for new clients.

Stay current on regulations affecting medical and hazardous waste, including RCRA, DOT, DEA, OSHA, and state-specific rules.

Attend relevant conferences, association meetings, and networking events in the healthcare and law enforcement sectors.

Track and report on sales pipeline, goals, and market feedback.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Criminal Justice, or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in B2B sales; experience in environmental services, healthcare, or public sector contracting is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of medical and hazardous waste regulations, including RCRA and DEA disposal requirements.

Demonstrated ability to sell to public agencies and regulated industries.

Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Willingness to travel regularly for client meetings and industry events.
