Job Summary

We are hiring a Class A Truck Mechanic with a valid CDL-A license and verifiable wrecker experience to join our asset-based trucking team in Conyers, GA. This role is responsible for breakdown recovery using a fifth-wheel wrecker and on-site tractor-trailer repairs throughout the Southern and Northeastern U.S..

️ What You'll Do

Operate a fifth-wheel wrecker to recover and tow disabled tractors

Perform diagnostics and repairs on Class 8 tractors and trailers

Respond to breakdowns 24/7, ensuring quick and safe recovery

Conduct DOT-compliant inspections and complete repair documentation

Travel as needed for roadside recovery work

Assist with in-shop maintenance when not on tow assignments

Maintain all tools, equipment, and vehicles in top working condition

Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards

What You Bring

Valid CDL Class A license

Clean driving record (MVR) and current DOT medical card

3+ years’ experience with tractor-trailer repairs and diagnostics

Experience operating a fifth-wheel wrecker for towing heavy-duty trucks

Strong understanding of diesel engines, brakes, electrical systems, and suspensions

Availability to work as needed – including nights, weekends, and holidays

Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Ability to work independently and under pressure

Experience with fleet maintenance systems like McLeod or Cetaris is a plus

Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
