PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Administrative Intern will be responsible for providing general administrative support to help ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the office. This role will support administrative tasks and provide front desk coverage as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Admin team with clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
Greet visitors and employees at the front desk in a professional manner
Assist with inventory tracking and restocking office supplies
Answer and direct incoming calls, take messages, and assist with general inquiries
Assist with distribution of mail and maintain a tidy and organized front office area
Provide backup coverage for the front desk during lunches, meetings, or absences
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee or business information
Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Currently pursuing high school education and 0-2 years of relevant experience
Ability to obtain a security Clearance
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a customer-service mindset
Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Currently enrolled in a program in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Clear communication skills and professional demeanor
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced office environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Ability to traverse manufacturing facility
