OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Powder Coat Technician II who will be responsible for preparing substrates for the powder application process including hanging, washing, plugging, scrubbing, taping, and sanding parts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with safety regulations
Train on an ongoing basis for the powder application process
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designer
Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results)
Uphold site efficiency standards
Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for site Safety and Quality standards and procedures
Understand color changeovers and powder application process
Develop advanced technical knowledge of the wash process and chemical usage
Work completely independently without supervision
Meet or exceed company PPM level standards by consistently producing quality work
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the assigned work center
Retain knowledge from each job
Achieve and maintain any certifications required in the work area
Cross-trained in multiple workstations
Assist in preventative maintenance of the equipment
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years’ experience in related setting may be substituted in lieu of degree
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, memos, and simple instructions
Knowledge of basic business math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
EDUCATION
Associate/Technical degree preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
