Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on Herc-owned fleet at long-term customer job sites.
Oversee oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, and various equipment repairs.
Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to ensure reliability on the job site.
Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
Recondition or replace worn parts to guarantee equipment safety and functionality.
Educate customers on equipment use to minimize future breakdowns.
Analyze equipment for wear and tear and address issues proactively.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at job sites.
Produce thorough service reports and repair logs.
Follow company procedures and build positive relationships with customers.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience operating and testing equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, and generators.
Ability to read technical schematics and manuals.
Ownership of a standard set of hand and power tools for equipment repair.
Availability to be on call for operational support.
A valid driver's license is required.
Skills:
Proficient in operating various types of vehicles and equipment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 LBs.
Attention to detail and effective time management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation: $30-$32 per hour, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
