Position: Logistics Import / Export Coordinator

Location: Woodlawn, OH

Compensation: $80-90K

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement international logistics strategies aligned with business goals.

Plan and coordinate global product deliveries based on customer requirements, including drayage, trans-loading, and warehousing.

Quote rates and calculate total shipment and storage costs, factoring in weight, volume, and transit mode/distance.

Communicate directly with transportation providers to meet customer handling and delivery needs.

Arrange import/export clearances, tariff classifications, and coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers.

Provide shipment status updates to customers and internal teams, ensuring clear and timely communication.

Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, CBP, FMC, and other governing agencies.

Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies; analyze trends and recommend improvements.

Review and validate transportation invoices; schedule and process accurate payments.

Manage insurance claim processes when required.

Support business expansion by planning and overseeing operational distribution strategies and new warehouse setups internationally.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field; or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience.

At least 5 years of international logistics and import/export experience, including VAT recovery and T1 external transit declarations.

CITLS (Certified International Trade Logistics Specialist) certification highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of global supply chain best practices and regulatory frameworks (CBP, FMC, PGA, etc.).

Proven experience in order fulfillment, warehouse operations, transportation management, and customer returns.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and reporting capabilities.

Ability to travel internationally 5-10 weeks per year to establish and oversee warehouse operations.
