We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a growing, locally owned organization in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of the company’s financial operations, including accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting, and technical accounting. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in corporate finance and a comprehensive understanding of billing and invoicing processes. Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational goals.
• Process and release client invoices on a monthly basis, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations to verify the completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Supervise accounts payable processes, including vendor payments and expense reimbursements.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports, such as monthly and quarterly taxes, in accordance with deadlines.
• Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
• Provide support for budgeting and financial planning initiatives to drive strategic decision-making.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to maintain financial health and compliance.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or financial roles, with a proven track record of success.
• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate finance principles and accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Deltek, or similar platforms.
• Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliation processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
