Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator to oversee and maintain our IT systems and network infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems, addressing support tickets, and implementing improvements to optimize operations. Based in Columbus, Ohio, this position offers the opportunity to collaborate with technical teams and provide valuable support to end-users.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain IT systems, including Windows environments, Hyper-V, on-premises Windows servers, and backup and recovery solutions.
• Oversee and support cloud-based platforms such as Azure and Office 365.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and external vendors to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
• Monitor, prioritize, and resolve support tickets, maintaining detailed documentation of issues and solutions.
• Perform hardware and software troubleshooting, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
• Conduct regular inspections of infrastructure and perform necessary maintenance at various locations.
• Manage hardware inventory, including issuing new equipment and maintaining existing devices.
• Provide technology training and support to employees to enhance their technical proficiency.
• Assist in cross-training team members to promote knowledge sharing and team development.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize system performance and efficiency.• Bachelor’s degree in IT, relevant certifications, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in systems administration or a related field.
• Advanced expertise in Windows systems and environments.
• Proficiency in scripting at a basic level to automate tasks.
• Strong experience with technologies such as Cisco routers, Citrix, Dell, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, backup technologies, and configuration management.
• Excellent teamwork and customer service skills with a proactive approach.
• Ability to respond promptly to urgent technical issues and provide effective solutions.
