Job Description
Responsibilities
Design and analyze structural systems using wood, steel, and concrete
Stamp and seal structural drawings and calculations for permitting
Collaborate with drafting, sales, and project management teams from concept to construction
Ensure compliance with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISI, NDS)
Conduct structural feasibility reviews and recommend cost-effective solutions
Support field staff and troubleshoot structural concerns on active job sites
Attend pre-construction meetings and review geotechnical reports
Maintain internal engineering documentation and stay up to date on industry standards
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license in MN and WI, or the ability to obtain within 6 months
5+ years of experience in structural design of building systems
Proficiency in structural design software (RISA, RAM) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit)
Familiarity with low-rise commercial, residential, or agricultural projects
Strong communication, time management, and independent problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel to job sites and conduct field visits as needed
