FP&A Sr. Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an FP& A professional to join our client in Okemos, Michigan. In this contract/contract-to-permanent role, you will play a key part in supporting financial planning and analysis efforts for a non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will excel at identifying process improvements, leveraging tools like Excel and Power BI, and executing financial reporting and forecasting with precision.

Responsibilities: • Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial decision-making. • Perform cost and trend analysis to identify opportunities for improved financial performance. • Generate detailed financial reports and ad hoc analyses to address organizational needs. • Utilize tools such as Power BI and Excel to create insightful dashboards and visualizations. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. • Collaborate with various business units to ensure alignment on financial goals and strategies. • Analyze and interpret financial data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. • Support the annual budgeting process and capital management initiatives. • Apply data mining techniques to uncover trends and inform strategic planning. • Work with ERP solutions to streamline financial workflows and reporting.Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including lookups and pivots. Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. Experience with tools like Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or similar platforms. Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in financial analysis. Knowledge of accounting functions and principles. Ability to perform cost analysis and trend analysis effectively. Skilled in data mining techniques to extract meaningful insights from large datasets. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and propose innovative solutions. Bachelor's Degree, preferred - Focus in Finance / Accounting
