Job Title: PHE Mechanic Trainee - 2nd Shift
Job Description
The PHE/WHE Mechanic Trainee will join the Plated Heat Exchanger department, supporting assemblers and welders in the manufacturing process. Tasks range from minor assembly to cleaning work areas, utilizing hand tools and various equipment for heat exchanger repair.
Responsibilities
Constant lifting, moving, and stacking of materials.
Receiving, counting, documenting, and labeling parts.
Sweeping, cleaning, and organizing work areas.
Reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints.
Inspecting, photographing, and documenting irregularities in materials.
Following directions with strong attention to detail.Essential Skills
At least 2 years of experience in assembly or mechanical background.
Proficiency with hand tools and pneumatic tools.
Ability to follow directions and listen carefully.
Good hand/eye coordination and finger dexterity.
High School Diploma or GED.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in automotive mechanic industry is preferred.
Stable work history is a real plus.Work Environment
The role is situated in a manufacturing environment that refurbishes heat exchange units. The team setting ensures varied daily job responsibilities. The shift currently open is a 2nd Shift from 2pm-10:30pm M-F. Currently, 10-hour shifts are in operation, including weekends as needed.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $17.25/hr.
