Software Development Engineer II

Job Description

Duration: 8 months (with potential for extension or conversion)

Location: Fully Onsite in Seattle (Day 1 – South Lake Union)

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Interview Process: 2 rounds – Initial screen with hiring manager, followed by a team meeting via Chime

Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

Proficiency in Java or any modern object-oriented programming language

Experience with cloud-based software development (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Front-end or full-stack experience building production-quality pages (preferably using React and TypeScript)

Required Qualifications:

A portfolio showcasing relevant technical skills

3+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, and testing

Expertise in at least one modern programming language (Java or Go preferred)

Experience developing cloud-based software solutions (preferably AWS, but Azure or GCP is acceptable)

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to contribute to front-end development using React and TypeScript, with a primary focus on backend development

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, React, and SCSS

Comfortable working in Windows, macOS, or Linux environments

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain RESTful services using AWS technologies

Build simple front-end components based on mockups and integrate them with REST APIs

Create reusable components and manage workflows for data input across various business units and external APIs

Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and researchers to deliver end-to-end solutions

Work independently to deliver software features and interfaces
