Position: Mixing Operator
Position Overview
The Mixer is responsible for manufacturing ink and related fluids by following the formulation sheets provided. The quality of the formulated product should match the specifications as provided by the recipe.
General Job Description
The Mixer will follow the recipe instructions meticulously, adding the ingredients in the appropriate sequence and mixing in accordance with the required steps. The Mixer must be skilled in weighing and measuring components. The finished product should be able to pass all the quality tests and move into the filling areas for further processing. The Mixer is responsible for organizing and gathering the raw materials prior to producing a batch and is also required to put the remaining inventory back and away in an organized fashion when finished.
Qualifications
Experience in basic Machine Operating/Assembly preferred.
Ability to collaborate well with other team members.
Meticulous and proactive individual who works effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.
Must maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment with limited supervision.
Ability to stand up to 9 hours a day while frequently bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, pushing, and pulling of products.
Ability to lift up to 50-pound bags of material.
Must follow all safety rules while executing their jobs efficiently.
Basic math skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities
Manufacture fluids by following formulas
Prepare mixer by weighing and loading raw materials into mixer
Monitor the mixing process. Perform routine product tests as outlined in the formula
Complete necessary job paperwork, checklists, and forms
Keep supervisor and material handler informed of inventory levels of materials
Work safely, quickly, and efficiently, complete job tasks as assigned on time.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
Engage in problem solving to support continuous improvement and cost savings.
Support team in the mixing department
