Job Overview:

Aegis has partnered with a manufacturing firm who is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join their manufacturing team. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for managing inventory levels, tracking materials, and ensuring that stock is organized and easily accessible for production needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, parts, and finished goods.

Track stock levels and report low inventory to the purchasing department.

Perform regular physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy.

Organize and store materials in a safe and accessible manner.

Data Entry & Reporting:

Enter inventory data into the system (e.g., ERP software) to track inventory movements.

Update inventory logs and reports to reflect stock levels, returns, and shipments.

Assist in preparing inventory reports for management.

Receiving and Distributing Materials:

Verify the receipt of materials and check deliveries against purchase orders.

Label, store, and organize materials upon receipt.

Ensure materials are distributed to the production floor as needed.

Inventory Audits:

Assist with periodic inventory audits and reconciliation of stock discrepancies.

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.

Safety & Organization:

Maintain a clean, organized inventory area, ensuring safe storage of materials.

Follow all safety protocols when handling inventory and operating equipment (e.g., forklifts).

Collaboration:

Work closely with the production team to ensure materials are available for production schedules.

Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely reordering of materials.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.

Experience:

Previous experience in an inventory or warehouse role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to use inventory management software (ERP systems) and basic Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word).

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to lift and move materials safely (may require physical labor).
