Job Description
PURPOSE AND PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITES
Following prescribed processing methods and procedures, cleans, racks, plates, coats, and deburrs parts according to planner. Works under general supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES – other duties may be assigned
Analyzes planner to determine chemical process to be performed and required thickness of coat, timing, sequence of processing.
Performs cadmium plating or anodizing process by placing racks of aluminum or stainless-steel parts onto overhead rail/hoists to be lowered into dip tanks containing various solutions in specified sequence and time interval.
Loads tumblers with parts and selected media to deburr and clean parts.
Masks and manually places parts on a holding rack in preparation for subsequent anodizing or plating.
Removes and cleans plated or anodized parts using alcohol or acetone products.
Sandblasts parts using special purpose machines.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
Proficient in spoken and written English
High School Diploma or equivalent.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must be able to follow verbal instructions and read and interpret planners and customer specifications.
Must be able to operate sandblasting and tumbler machines.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Works in a factory environment and is exposed to dirt, heat, grit, noise, extensive chemical fumes, and dust. Must wear protective gloves and uniforms.Company Description
