Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of shipping, receiving, production, an inventory processes. This role combines the critical responsibilities of purchasing and receiving with leadership over production and shipping teams. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for day-to-day operations, staff management, training, scheduling, and maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, this position requires a detail-oriented, proactive leader with strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Duties:

Warehouse Operations:

Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving and unloading trucks, sorting and storing materials, and preparing orders for shipment.

Supervise production and shipping teams, ensuring timely and accurate assembly, packing, and shipment of products.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing organizational standards for shelves, pallet areas, and workstations.

Coordinate maintenance and IT requests, ensuring timely resolution to support operational efficiency.

Perform inventory tracking and assist with purchasing to maintain adequate stock levels.

Team Management:

Hire new team members and conduct employee performance reviews to maintain a high-performing workforce.

Ensure new hires or transitioning employees are properly trained.

Identify training needs, secure approval, schedule training sessions.

Develop and manage staff schedules to meet operational demands, including coverage for Monday-Friday shifts and some holidays.

Purchasing and Receiving:

Coordinate with the Senior Operations Manager for purchase order approvals and with shipping/production leads for delivery schedules.

Place purchase orders with vendors for raw materials and track price changes to optimize costs.

Receive physical products using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring accurate documentation and verification with the accounts payable department.

Utilize forklifts and scanners to move goods into appropriate bins, applying barcodes and organizing pallets using FIFO methodology.

Track raw material usage based on historical data to determine optimal reorder dates, request vendor lead times, and leverage MOQs for cost savings.

Upload physical documents into purchase orders and receipts, maintaining precise records of part numbers and goods.

Reporting and Collaboration:

Work closely with the Senior Operations Manager, providing regular updates through detailed reporting on warehouse performance, staffing, and inventory.

Use internal email systems to log vendor discussions, pricing, and operational updates.

Communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and other departments to meet organizational goals.

Additional Duties:

Perform other tasks as assigned to support warehouse and company objectives.

Incumbents For This Job Typically Hold:

High school diploma or equivalent.

2+ years of warehouse experience, including 2+ years utilizing a WMS (warehouse management system).

Experience in purchasing, inventory management, and team supervision.

Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

Basic computer skills, email, and document management.

Understanding of safety regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse environments.

Forklift certification or previous forklift experience.

Work Schedule and Benefits:

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with some holidays required.

Pay dependent upon experience.
