Console Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable Console Operator II to support our client’s Enterprise Security Command Center (ESCC) in Charlotte, NC. This critical onsite role ensures the safety and security of employees, property, and operations by monitoring and responding to electronic security systems and incidents across the enterprise.

Training & Schedule

All candidates must be able to train on 1st shift for the first 4–6 weeks.

Post-training, shift assignments will be based on business needs.

Shifts:

1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Days: Mon–Fri, Tue–Sat, or Wed–Sun

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor electronic security systems including alarm panels, intrusion detection, surveillance cameras, badge verification, and access control

Respond to alarms, calls, and incidents in a timely and professional manner

Control gate access and validate personnel

Maintain enterprise situational awareness through active communication and monitoring

Perform data entry and generate incident reports

Use mass notification systems and coordinate with Corporate Communications

Conduct basic investigations, video reviews, and follow-up interviews

Support administrative tasks and assist with shift operations as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major: Criminal Justice, Criminology, Cybersecurity, etc

Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center, 911 dispatch, law enforcement, or technical support for physical access control systems (e.g., AMAG Symmetry)

Skills & Competencies:

Strong customer service and communication abilities

Ability to multitask and work under pressure

Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office

High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentialityCompany Description
