Key Responsibilities:
· Payroll Processing:
· Ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, and bonuses.
· Calculating payroll deductions, taxes, and benefits.
· Maintaining accurate payroll records and databases.
· Processing new hires, terminations, and other employee status changes.
· Compliance and Regulations:
· Staying up-to-date on payroll regulations and tax laws.
· Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
· Preparing and filing payroll tax returns.
· Maintaining permits and registrations for food handling and TABC for restaurant employees
· Financial Reporting:
· Preparing and reviewing payroll reports.
· Analyzing payroll data to identify trends and issues.
· Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
· Benefits Administration:
· Administering employee benefits programs.
· Ensuring accurate and timely payment of benefits.
· Communicating benefits information to employees.
· Other Responsibilities:
· Collaborating with other departments, such as HR and Finance.
· Identifying and implementing process improvements.
· Troubleshooting payroll issues and resolving discrepancies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is often preferred.
Experience: Several years of experience in payroll processing and management.
