Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Technician/Data Entry Specialist to join our growing team. This role is critical in supporting our construction projects by creating detailed CAD drawings, managing project data, and ensuring that all technical documents are accurate and organized. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD software, data entry, and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
CAD Design & Drafting:
Create, update, and modify drawings providing highly detailed 3D models for generating takeoffs and quantities from PDF and CAD drawings for construction projects using AutoCAD and Agtek, similar software.
Work with project managers and estimators to translate project concepts into technical drawings.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and takeoffs, adhering to project specifications and standards.
Data Entry & Management:
Input and manage construction project data into the company’s database, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Maintain and organize project documentation, including drawings, contracts, specifications, and schedules.
Ensure all data entered is aligned with project timelines and goals.
Document Control & Organization:
Assist in maintaining organized records of project data, including CAD files, pdfs, and permits.
Prepare and file reports, drawings, and technical documents as required.
Collaboration:
Work closely with construction teams to ensure project documents are accurate and completed on time.
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues with data.
Quality Assurance:
Perform quality checks on CAD designs and data entries to ensure they meet company standards and client expectations.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in project data.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s degree in CAD, drafting, construction management, or related field experience(preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience working with CAD software (AutoCAD preferred).
Previous experience in data entry and document management in a construction or engineering setting is a plus.
Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients.
