We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Technology team!

Core Responsibilities

Take responsibility for designing the technical solution with the engineering team while collaborating on the discovery with product managers, design leads, and business partners.

Develop, operate & maintain robust and scalable solutions - striking the right balance between feature set, security, quality, and urgency.

Continuously improve the health of the team's codebase and systems, from dev to live, ensuring the current state is visible outside the team.

Ensure extraordinary quality and be a steward of our values that consumers expect from our brand.

We are undergoing a major digital transformation of PLM system, shifting from a monolithic to a distributed architecture.

As Lead Engineer, you will lead the team developing applications that supports the product design phase within this new distributed PLM ecosystem. This includes bringing together and integrating data from our design portfolio as well as LEGO elements models and building instructions.

An integral part of this is a user facing application used by hundreds of LEGO® model designers and creative leads to improve and support their workflows while creating the models going into the sets that we all know and love.

Do you have what it takes?

Significant experience in software engineering, with expertise in cloud-native solutions (AWS preferred), software architecture paradigms (conceptual and practical), and software development methodologies (such as TDD and BDD)

Demonstrated ability in a leadership role, either as a technical lead or team lead, with a strong focus on mentoring and team development

Experienced in Python on building production software with multiple collaborators

Understanding the security aspects of web-based solutions

Experience building synchronous and asynchronous APIs

Understanding Domain Driven Design and loosely coupled systems

Shown ability in leading an end-to-end feature development team through modern agile methodologies

Experience with databases, both relational and NoSQL

Effective communication skills, capable of engaging and leading complex technical discussions and decision-making processes within and across teams

Passionate about producing high-quality technical documentation and visual representations to guide and communicate product development processes

Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate optimally across technical and non-technical roles, ensuring the tactical and strategic alignment of solutions

Nice to have

Experience with continuous delivery, DevOps, serverless architecture and domain driven design

Experience with C#/.NET Framework

Experience with Graph databases

Knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript and the React framework

Working with infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform or the likes)
