LPN/Licensed Practical Nurse, NEW GRADS

Job Description

NEW GRADS WELCOME

Glasgow State Nursing Facility

3pm–11pm (5 days a week & every other weekend)

Position Responsibilities

Assist in routine patient care activities such as feeding, bathing, and personal care.

Take and record patients’ vital signs.

Initiate treatments as prescribed by the physician or care plan.

Administer medication as prescribed by a physician.

Document and report signs indicating a change in the patient's condition or behavior.

Transcribe physicians’ orders from patient charts as directed or required.

Answer patient calls and offer assistance as necessary.

Assist in the maintenance of a clean and orderly work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervision is received from designated Nursing Services Personnel.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.

Special Qualifications: Must have a current unencumbered license to practice nursing in Kentucky. (Indiana license required for assignments in Indiana.

May be responsible for other LPNs or nursing assistants while working under RN direction.

Physical Demands: Moderate physical demands-should be able to utilize good body mechanics.

Must be able to lift 75 pounds

Pay Starting at 32.00/hr. based on experience
