Job Description
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Communications, the Intern, Marketing & Communications will provide support primarily for lead generation, social media and internal communications, while also generally supporting the Marketing department. The Intern will interface with other departments as needed to gain an understanding of the business across the company, including Origination, Project Finance, Operations and other corporate functions. The ability to work both independently and on a team is critical, as well as a creative and innovative mindset to operate as an important contributor within a fast-paced, growth environment. This is a 10-week internship program (approximately June 9 – August 15, 2025).
Responsibilities:
Support on Marketing lead generation activities as needed, including lead generation research, drafting and designing outreach, creating presentations and follow up phone calls
Support Aspen Power social media efforts, including developing content calendar and creating content across LinkedIn, Facebook and elsewhere as appropriate
Input on company social media strategy by conducting performance analytics
Script, film and edit videos for social media
Produce an intern experience video and/or blog post(s)
Conduct media outreach for announcements and thought leadership
Maintain company intranet site, including drafting and posting articles/images, updating event listings, commemorating holidays and national days, and company initiatives
Work together with the Marketing team to plan and implement company culture features (e.g. summer office DJ, reading lists, employee profiles)
Qualifications:
Must be passionate about the renewable energy business, hardworking and thrive in the fast pace of a rapidly growing company. In addition, the Marketing & Communications Intern must be or have:
Students with relevant technical backgrounds and tracks in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sustainability or a related field are encouraged to apply
Strong academic track record (GPA of 3.5 or above)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
Proven ability to quickly and accurately solve problems and develop value-added solutions
Strong organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Basic understanding or willingness to learn about engineering, renewable energy systems and project finance

Compensation Range: $25 per hour (undergraduate student or degree) - $45 per hour (graduate student or degree)
