POSITION SUMMARY:

The Engineer, IT Infrastructure is a key member of our server Infrastructure team. This individual participates in planning, organizing and directing the design, operation and maintenance of FBB’s IT Infrastructure, to provide all aspects of back office functionality to our FullBeauty Brands’ associates.

This very hands-on position participates in technical initiatives related to the design, implementation, monitoring, problem resolution and overall maintenance of the FULLBEAUTY Brands IT systems infrastructure. The position requires demonstrable tactical experience in a traditional on-premise IT environment as well as the strategic vision to design new premise, hybrid, and cloud approaches to common challenges.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works in collaboration with established networking, desktop, operations teams and 3rd party vendors to ensure delivery of IT services to the internal FBB customer.

Participates in technical initiatives related to the design, implementation, monitoring, problem resolution and overall maintenance of the FULLBEAUTY Brands systems infrastructure, with focus on the back office requirements of a large company.

Plan and implement regular infrastructure, operating system, and application maintenance.

Design, build, implement and maintain physical servers, switched storage subsystems, and business unit applications for the enterprise in 3 physical datacenters.

Maintain and enhance all directory services used throughout the FBB technology ecosystem, predominately, Microsoft Active Directory with Microsoft dhcp,dns, pki and hybrid identity in the MS cloud environment.

Design, build, implement, and maintain Server Operating Systems, in a predominately Windows environment for file server, application server, and database server use.

Design, build and maintain virtual environments, in multiple VMWware high availability clustered environments

Design, build and maintain storage subsystems, in a mixed SAN fabric, iScsi, and direct attached storage environment with hybrid cloud replication concepts.

Interface with representatives of business units, and technology groups to implement and support networking services and business solutions.

Help evaluate and select hardware, software, and services to fulfill various businesses needs as requirements develop.

Create documentation and provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to peers and support personnel.

Respond to escalations from desktop and monitoring teams. Tier 3 support for most datacenter functions.

Available for off-hours support as needed.

Minimal planned travel may be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Business or related field and/or demonstrated capability through previous years of practical experience to perform job responsibilities.

Four years’ experience in systems and virtualization design, implementation, and troubleshooting of mission critical IT systems across multiple sites, using VMware eSXI, VCenter and VSphere or similar

Four year’s experience in maintaining a Microsoft Active Directory environment.

Four year’s experience in working in an enterprise backup and replication environment.

Knowledge of Linux OS, Apple File System desired

Strong understanding of networking protocols and how to troubleshoot them

Ability to respond quickly, troubleshoot and resolve challenging issues in a methodical and effective manner.

Familiarity with business and IT operations in both an Agile and ITIL environment,

Proven written and verbal communications skills, including an ability to provide a synopsis to management.
