Job Description

Snelling is currently seeking an EXPERIENCED Electrical & Instrumentation Technician in the Shelby Co area, who will ensure all plant equipment and facilities are inspected, maintained, and repaired in a timely manner.

Pay Rate: $35.00-38.00/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday, 1st shift

Requirements for Electrical & Instrumentation Technician:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Additional education from an electrical school also requires equivalent training and experience.

Experience: 3-5 years working in an industrial environment required. At least 3 years of direct electrician experience required.

Certifications: Electrician Certification preferred.

Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of inductive devices, voltages, measuring devices, AC/DC fault interrupts and distribution, and analog sensors required.

Skills: Basic computer skills with operating knowledge of Microsoft software

Candidates must be receptive to overtime and callouts.

Essential Functions for Electrical & Instrumentation Technician:

Responsible for installation, calibration, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various instrumentation devices within the operation. The functions include but are not limited to the operation of valves, controllers, transmitters, positioners, PLC’s, pneumatic, electronic and hydraulic lines.

Responsible for installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various electrical equipment and devices within the operation using available instructions, manuals and schematic diagrams. The functions include but are not limited to the operation and troubleshooting of motors, motor starters, motor controllers, inverters, electrical switchgear, lighting and all electrical circuits from DC up to and including 4160V.

Performs and documents workplace and mobile equipment inspections.

Safely and efficiently perform preventative maintenance and electrical repairs.

Identify equipment operational problems and causes of breakdowns and make repairs to same.
