Systems Administration
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of the credit union's server infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of server systems to support the organization's operations and services. This role requires a high-level of collaboration with the IT team, vendors, and stakeholders to implement best practices and technology solutions that align with the credit union's strategic goals. This position will report to the Spirit Valley branch in Duluth, MN with the opportunity for flexible, remote, work upon manager approval.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
Administer virtualization (VMware).
Plan and execute system updates, patches, and configuration changes in compliance with IT policies and procedures.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and other core services.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
Provide technical problem resolution assistance on applications.
Ensure service tickets are updated and responded to in a timely manner.
Track metrics for stability, interoperability, security, and support.
Create and maintain accurate FAQ and how-to documents.
Qualifications
Associates or bachelor’s degree in a computer science, IT, or related field.
5 years of experience or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
High technical aptitude and skill in server operating systems (Windows Server and Linux), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyer-V), and networking protocols.
Familiarity with Veeam backup solutions
Experience in Microsoft365, Exchange and Azure AD
High level of proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, database applications and the Microsoft suite
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to communicate complex or technical information to a variety of end users both verbally and in writing
Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicle
Available to work one or more evenings per month
Available and willing to travel to various branches within the credit union network
Ability to life up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, with or without an accommodation
Schedule
Monday – Friday, occasional evening and/or weekend
Wage & Hour Details
Full-time
This position is exempt
Starting pay range: $83,000/yr - $93,000/yr, pay commensurate with experience
