ServiceNow Developer, Senior (contingent upon award)

The role involves acting independently under general direction, providing technical assistance and advice on complex activities, and formulating and defining specifications to develop, modify, and maintain complex systems and subsystems, including utilizing vendor engineering releases and utilities to ensure the effective operation of systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Apply advanced analytical techniques to gather user information, define work problems, design technology solutions, and develop procedures to address those problems.

Reviewing task proposal requirements, gathering and analyzing data, preparing project synopses, comparing alternatives, preparing specifications, resolving processing problems, coordinating with programmers and engineers, and orienting users to new systems.

The Senior ServiceNow Developer works with significant autonomy to make decisions regarding the techniques and approaches to be used.

Document technical designs, development activities, and configuration changes in accordance with best practices and organizational standards. Share knowledge and expertise with other team members through training sessions, workshops, and documentation to foster continuous learning and improvement.

Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and other IT teams to gather requirements, provide updates on development progress, and solicit feedback on solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between ServiceNow solutions and broader organizational goals and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

7+ years of experience as a ServiceNow developer, with a focus on custom application development and platform customization.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and ServiceNow development technologies (e.g., Glide API, Service Portal).

Experience with ServiceNow integration technologies and methods.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in ServiceNow applications and configurations.

Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Industry certifications in ServiceNow or related IT disciplines are highly desirable.
