The Controller’s responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring and maintaining internal controls, accurate and detailed reporting including maintaining internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Oversee and support internal accounting controls to ensure proper segregation of duties, safeguarding of assets, adequate approval of transactions and accuracy of reporting in accordance with SOX.

· Oversee monthly closing of financial books and records ensuring adherence to established financial controls and best practices.

· Understand and assist in the development of core financial systems including development of key standard reports, modeling, data analysis.

· Provide financial analysis of business results and manage the Company’s costing structure to maximize profitability.

· Establish and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.

· Present financial reporting and potential risk areas to senior management.

· Build and report daily, weekly, and monthly operational KPIs (including recommendations for improvements); evaluate and analyze plant profitability at a SKU level. Benchmarks against other facilities in the portfolio.

· Prepare weekly reporting on actual and forecasted cash flows for the business.

· Prepare short-term and long-range financial models, including forecasted cash flows, income statements, and balance sheets.

· Work with senior management to manage the liquidity of the business.

· Strong leadership, communication and team building skills, especially as interface among production, purchasing, sales and other departments.

· Perform other related duties & participates in special projects as assigned.

· Strong financial and business acumen. Ability to review financial statements with emphasis on Income Statement analysis.

JOB FUNCTIONS SPECIFIC:

· Lead financial integrity of the financials and assist with development and implementation of accounting polices.

· Play an active role in compliance, collaborate with monthly and quarterly reviews, reporting process and preparation of annual audits.

· Analyze and make recommendations of adequacy of reserves and any adjustment recommendations and or need for policy updates for better accuracy and predictability.

· Perform other duties or special projects, as requested by management.

Requirements:

JOB HOLDER’S REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA is a plus.

· Five plus (5+) years as a Controller or Cost Manager in a Manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on cost accounting, reporting and variance analysis.

· Food Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

· Self-starter with strong ethical standards.

· Ability to meet deadlines.

· Attention to detail, organized, and flexible within a fast-paced organization.

· Strong analytical, quantitative skills

· Experience working with Power BI

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

· Excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Management of standard cost system, including BOM’s; Labor Routes and Labor rates.

· Experience in costing and pricing new products.

· Strong numerical skills and analytical abilities, with deep experience with Excel, database products, report writing, and other financial reporting and budgeting processes.

· Demonstrated expertise with manufacturing ERP systems.

· Demonstrated experience in contract evaluation and negotiation.

· Strong leadership, communication and team building skills, especially as interface among production, purchasing, sales and other departments.
