Application Administrator

NOTE: For IT professionals looking for an IT technical position, this position does not work directly with servers. This position is primarily a customer and mission support position using a custom web interface.
Responsibilities:
Learn and understand Overall HazCom/JSTO system operation and how it implements Mishap Prevention and Hazard Communication requirements
Work with Safety Office personnel, Unit Safety Representatives and supervisors to ensure the system delivers applicable hazard exposure information to employees
Work with BIO Environmental and Public Health personnel, Unit Safety Representatives and supervisors to ensure the system delivers applicable BIO Environmental exposure information to employees
Assist system users with system operation
Manage user account creation, modification, and deletion
Manage user access configurations
Manage application configuration to ensure proper operation
Provide demonstrations or briefings to existing and potential system customers remotely or in person upon request
Assist geographically separated units with system operation
Generate reports as required
Work with Database and Web Server administrators to troubleshoot system errors and anomalies
Work with system owners and development team to assist with system enhancements
Adhere to active policies
Accomplish annual training requirements on time
Adhere to active policies to include contractual requirements.
Present a positive and professional presence to existing and potential customers
Requirements:
3 years experience in similar role
Possess a general understanding of Web Server and Database operation. 1 year experience preferred but not required
Training and instructional abilities
Customer support disposition
Attention to detail
Good oral and written communication skills
Good learning skills
Good people interaction skills
Able to work remotely and on site in accordance with active work policy
Security+ certification preferred
