Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site technical assistance to end-users in a Windows-based environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT equipment, and ensuring a high level of end-user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide on-site Level 1 and Level 2 support for desktop and laptop systems running Windows OS (Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments).

Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues including OS, applications, printers, and peripherals.

Perform imaging, deployment, and configuration of new systems.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Office 365 and other enterprise software.

Support user account administration in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange/365.

Maintain accurate documentation of support issues and solutions via ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).

Collaborate with other IT team members and escalate unresolved issues when necessary.

Assist with network connectivity and basic troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN).

Ensure all systems are updated with the latest patches and antivirus definitions.

Provide support for video conferencing and meeting room equipment.

Train end-users on basic functionality and best practices.

Requirements:

Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft (MCP/MCSA), or similar certifications are a plus.

Experience:

2+ years of desktop support experience in a Windows environment.

Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, remote support tools, and ticketing systems.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and standard desktop applications.

Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Strong customer service orientation and professionalism.

Work Environment:

On-site position in a corporate or enterprise office setting.

May require occasional lifting of equipment (up to 30 lbs).

Availability to work occasional after-hours or weekends for critical support or maintenance.
