Job Responsibilities:
· Modify computer-controlled robot movements.
· Build or assemble robotic devices or systems.
· Maintain inventories of production supplies such as sensors and cables.
· Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality.
· Maintain service records of robotic equipment or automated production systems.
· Develop three-dimensional simulations of automation systems.
· Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
· Train other personnel to operate and maintain robots.
· Program complex robotic systems, such as vision systems.
· Align, fit, or assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates.
Essential Functions:
· Troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
· Test performance of robotic assemblies, using instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, or bridges.
· Install, program, or repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, or conveyors.
· Disassemble and reassemble robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs such as replacement of defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, and servomotors. Evaluate the efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, reprogramming or calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality.
· Operate robots to perform customized tasks, such as environmental cleanup or explosive detection operations.

Improved Piping Products, Inc. (IPP) was founded in 1979 and is a privately held family business. Our Production plant, Corporate Offices, and Warehouse are all located in San Antonio, Texas. IPP's fittings are sold to customers world-wide in various industries.
