Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
Location: Muskegon, MI
Day Shift: 6am to 6pm (4 days on, 4 days off)
JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain or assist in the installation/modification of electrical/electronic control systems by working with process operations, engineering, and vendor personnel.
- Maintain documentation of the site electrical/electronic drawings and schematics to ensure the integrity of the system.
- Assist in the pre commissioning and startup of new equipment/instrumentation.
- Provide maintenance personnel with direction when assistance is needed on electrical and/or instrumentation problems.
- Perform troubleshooting of electrical/electronic control systems.
- Maintain and document the calibration of site instrumentation.
- Work with and support efforts of the Instrument Control Specialists in the development and implementation of the site PLC control system and DCS control system.
- Provide and assist with the maintenance of the plant scales and plant instrumentation systems.
- Assist in the training and development of Level I Technicians.
SKILLS:
- HS Diploma or GED required (journeyman or associates degree in related field is a plus)
- Minimum of three (3) years of industrial instrumentation background
- Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing plant required
- Ability to work a variety of shift schedules
