Residential Warranty Company, LLC, a national home warranty company, celebrating over 40 years in business, is seeking a full time HELP DESK TECHNICIAN. If you have a friendly and professional manner, to provide technical support and assistance to our employees, this may be the job for you!
What you'll do:
Answer, evaluate, prioritize and provide assistance to users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking and other computer-related technologies.
Use diagnostic skills to identify root causes and implement corrective action.
Effectively communicate with fellow IT team members to acquire and provide insight and ideas to better resolve issues.
Install personal computers, software and peripheral equipment. Maintain user accounts in various internal and external systems. Participate in the upkeep and maintenance of IT common areas, including the Data Center.
Log and track incoming requests, using the provided problem management database.
Maintain inventory records for hardware and software.
Actively participate in documentation efforts including checklists, procedures and problem resolution details.
Will have infrequent day trips to other company locations within 2 hours.
What we're looking for:
Working knowledge of Microsoft (Windows 10 and 11, basic familiarity with Active Directory architecture); Anti-Virus and Patch Management; Microsoft Office 365
Associates degree from a college or trade school or 1 -3 years’ experience as a Help Desk Technician or customer support role
Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
Proficiency in English
Excellent communication skills
Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
