Network Operations Manager

Job Description

We're seeking an exceptional Network Operations Manager to oversee the global network infrastructure of our cutting-edge, high-performance computing organization. As a seasoned network professional, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a large-scale network architecture that supports our mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the operation of a global fleet of specialized computing devices, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security

Design, implement, and manage upstream network topology, including core switches, firewalls, VPNs, and threat management systems

Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline network operations and improve efficiency

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other systems and applications

Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of network engineers and technicians

Develop and implement monitoring and reporting tools to ensure real-time visibility into network performance and security

Requirements:

6+ years of experience in network architecture, engineering, and operations, with a focus on large-scale, high-performance computing environments

In-depth knowledge of traditional network technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs

Experience with Enterprise-grade SCADA systems and Global Network Operations Center (NOC) management

Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments with high-stakes consequences for failure

Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and industry trends

Nice to Have:

Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and hyperscale computing environments

Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, and automation tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible)

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
