Dispatch is a key position at Santa Barbara Airbus. The Dispatcher serves as the shift supervisor and first point of contact for drivers, customer service agents, and customers. Customer service is a key part of the dispatch position and a cornerstone of Airbus culture. A great Dispatcher can multitask and stay on top of different projects at the same time. They must be very efficient with time and can self-manage, as well as keep calm during stressful situations, they must be able to see the big picture when making decisions or dealing with issues. There are two Dispatch shifts a day, an AM and PM shift. The shift is supported by the Office Manager, Operations Manager, and General Manager.
Job duties include:
Setting up daily driver paperwork, opening and closing paperwork
Accountability for incoming and outgoing funds and associated record keeping
Assuring drivers shifts are accounted for and hours are logged
Managing bus schedule and bus cleaning schedule
Assigning drivers to jobs
Managing job changes and covers
Handling bus breakdowns or traffic/road issues, should they occur, while still providing exceptional customer service in office
Providing stellar customer service via phone
Booking reservations
Onboarding passengers and managing passenger counts

Requirements:
High school diploma
Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position- willing to train the right candidate
Fast typing ability with experience in data entry for reliable data capture
Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations
Proficient in English (oral and written)
Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
Active listener with excellent communication skills
Sound judgement and critical thinking
Spanish speaker is a plus!
