Overview:
A leading commercial millwork and woodwork company is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee high-end commercial projects from inception through completion. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, reviewing project drawings, solving installation challenges, and ensuring seamless coordination between customers and production teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong construction experience, a solutions-focused mindset, and a commitment to delivering projects efficiently and cost-effectively.The Role:
As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of commercial millwork projects, acting as the primary point of contact for clients. You will lead projects through detailed planning, proactive problem-solving, and effective communication with internal and external teams.
Your focus will be on delivering exceptional results while minimizing costs and ensuring smooth execution from design through installation.Responsibilities:
Oversee millwork projects from initial planning through final installation.
Review and interpret architectural and shop drawings to define project scope and execution plans.
Act as the main liaison between customers and the production team, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Identify and resolve construction and installation challenges, particularly related to cabinetry, in a cost-effective manner.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and change orders as needed.
Coordinate site visits to support field measurements, verify conditions, and oversee installation activities.Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of project management experience within the architectural millwork industry.
Solid background in construction with strong problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Bluebeam and AutoCAD required; experience with Nergy implementation is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Local candidates only; approximately 25% travel required for out-of-state projects (e.g., California).Salary:
Base Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 per year
Commission: 2% of project value if the Project Manager brings in their own clientLocation
