Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mitigation Technician to join our restoration team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to property damage emergencies, including water, fire, mold, and storm-related incidents. This role requires quick thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to restoring properties efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to emergency mitigation calls, including water extraction, fire damage cleanup, and mold remediation.
Assess the extent of damage and develop an effective mitigation plan.
Operate drying equipment such as dehumidifiers, air movers, and extraction tools.
Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials when necessary.
Conduct moisture readings and documentation for insurance claims.
Follow industry best practices and safety guidelines for restoration and mitigation.
Maintain and clean equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and customer interactions.
Qualifications:
Experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation preferred (but we are willing to train the right candidate).
IICRC certification (Water Restoration Technician, Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician, or Mold Remediation) is a plus.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (50+ lbs).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
