Job Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position will be responsible for the development and execution of HR strategies and initiatives for assigned business units. Collaborates with Management Committee members and Executive Committee members to improve business performance and prepare the talent of the future. As a trusted advisor and coach, the Sr. HRBP will provide data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and employee engagement, while supporting and influencing business line strategies.
Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:
HRBP
Conducts and leads Business Partner meetings and 1:1s with designated partners to gather business context and get buy in with appropriate level leaders based on HRBP
Works in concert with other HR resources and teams to drive key initiatives and projects such as organization design, inclusion and engagement, leadership development, talent management, strategic workforce planning and pay for performance
Consults with designated Management Committee members, department leaders and their management teams on organizational and management change as needed
Provides advice, counsel, and coaching to business leaders regarding high potential talent development and succession planning; Analyzes talent gaps to inform training and development priorities; Facilitates talent reviews
Employee Relations and Employee Engagement Duties: Partners with COE on employee relations and engagement process to coach and support the business partners
Partners with compensation and benefits function to ensure clear and effective linkage between goal setting, performance measurement and recognition/reward strategies
Provides reporting and analysis regarding staffing, engagement, career development, efficiency, attrition, and other necessary data to designated Management Committee members and department leaders; and 2) Recommends programs and/or enhancements as necessary
Serves as a liaison between HR & designated Management Committee members/Business Unit leaders in preparing for budgeted/unbudgeted adds to staff, promotions, and special adjustments
Performs other duties as assigned
Additionally a Sr. HRBP:
Prepares updates for management, strategic planning, and board meetings that demonstrate progress on business partnering and center of expertise initiatives
Minimizes the organization’s employment risk by working in conjunction with the COE team to review policies and practices annually and working with business leaders to make sure any business unit guidance, policy or practice is aligned to those at the organizational level
Education and/or Experience:
HRBP
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field preferred
PHR/SPHR or CP/S-CP certification preferred
At least 1-2 years of Business Partner experience preferred
sHRBP certification preferred
Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Sr. HRBP
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field required or mentoring and coaching certification or a combination of both.
At least ten years of experience in Human Resources preferred
At least 4-5 years of Business Partner or equivalent experience preferred
At least 3-4 years of experience in business strategy execution preferred
SPHR or S-CP certification required or obtained within 12-18 months of hire
sHRBP certification required or obtained within 12-18 months of hire
Drake leading Others – Ready Leader participant within 12-24 months
Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Hiring Salary Range
The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Sr. HRBP Hiring Salary Range: $115,000 - $136,000. HRBP Hiring Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000.
