Reports to: Director of Extended Learning & Enrichment

Hours: Part-time, 4-5 hours per day

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Imagine going to work knowing that what you do each day positively influences the lives of people and communities.

The Exploremos after-school program instructor provides exciting and enriching opportunities for youth at New School SanFrancisco, an inquiry-based public charter school. We are looking for talented individuals who will provide academic support, enriching program activities, and help to foster an environment where Kindergarten through 2nd grade students can be themselves.

We encourage our instructors to bring their identities, interests, and passions to our program. Every instructor helps us create high quality, age-appropriate, engaging after school programming that parents have loved for the past eight years.

Exploremos instructors will need to be willing to take initiative, demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, and a commitment to work throughout the entire school year.

Our program mirrors the school day and supports a positive inquiry and equity-focused culture. Our instructors lead

thematically based enrichments in small groups of 12-20 students, which are based in S.T.E.A.M, the arts, community building, healthy eating, and physical movement. Individuals hired for this role will work under the supervision of the Director of Extended Learning & Enrichment.

Instructors will help students work collaboratively within our team and school to problem-solve, share ideas, and make each day a memorable one for students. If you love working with children, come join our team of changemakers who are dedicated to the life-long journey of learning and exploration.
