MedHealth is hiring a full time, experienced Nurse to supervise the healthcare staff at the Laramie County Detention Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming

The County Jail holds inmates with misdemeanor sentences as well as detainees awaiting trial or sentencing. Inmates with longer sentences or more violent, felony convictions, will be held temporarily pending a transfer to state prison. Although the Jail has over 250 beds, typically less than 200 are housed on any given day.

The Schedule for this position is Monday - Friday

On call time pay is $100/week

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise nursing staff to provide optimal patient care

- Uphold inmate rights and ensure compliance with all regulations

- Utilize in-depth physiology knowledge to guide nursing practices

- Lead nursing administration functions within the facility

- Coordinate nurse management activities for efficient operations

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Wyoming unrestricted license

3 Years of Nursing Experience

1 year of demonstrated supervision experience

Basic Life Support Certification (AHA or ARC)
