Laboratory Technician

We're hiring a part-time lab technician to manage cell culture, perform transfections, and prepare cells for imaging.

The role is 5-10 h/wk at our lab in MBC BioLabs, Mission Bay.

Qualifications

Proficient in cell culture techniques, particularly with HEK cells

Proficient in transfection

Knowledge of microscopy techniques and their applications in biological research

Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a small team

Preferred qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 1+ year of post-grad experience in biology

Maintain and manage cell cultures

Perform transfections

Prepare cells for imaging

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to established protocols and guidelines
