Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Graphic Designer Prepress at Hart Label located in Pflugerville, TX. The Graphic Designer Prepress will be responsible for print production, print design, pre-press, and preflight activities on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

Print Production, Printing, and Print Design skills

Pre-press and Preflight skills

Experience in preparing files for print production

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of color management and printing processes

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field

Trapping-

Creating small overlaps between colors to prevent any gaps or white lines during printing, especially when dealing with two-color or multi-color printing.

Image manipulationRetouching, cropping, and optimizing images for printing.

Quality controlChecking for any issues like misaligned text, low-resolution images, or incorrect fonts.

File preparationChecking file formats, resolutions, and dimensions to ensure they are suitable for printing.

Color correctionAdjusting colors to match the desired output and account for potential variations in printing processes.

Help answering phone calls from customers etc.

Lift Cutting Dies that weigh anywhere from 10 lbs. to 45lbs. and observe to make sure everything is correct.
